Wildcat Will
Wildcat Will
Pop Art meets collage artist, Wildcat Will (William Blanchard) initially abandoned his art path for rock ’n’ roll as the drummer of bands that include Jamiroquai, Shakespeare’s Sister, Beth Orton and Death in Vegas for almost two decades. Then, after being introduced to graffiti and street art, and working with Ben Eine - Will became inspired by those using the street as their canvas. He then swiftly moved in to collage works producing his own type of Pop Art fused with Surrealism. As a non-conformist artist, his surreal assemblages and nods to pop culture span the 60s to the present day, in bright, colourful works, often littered with diamond dust and psychedelia.
Will’s work has been commissioned by Cambridge Audio and his ‘Human Beinz’ Warhol-inspired diamond dusted print became a firm favourite with art buyers. He has exhibited extensively at Art Car Boot Fair, group shows and solo shows. His hugely successful solo show ‘Love Is Like A Butterfly’ with West Contemporary Editions in 2015 (then named Beautiful Crime Gallery) firmly put his name on the art map and in the British press, a small role we are very proud of.
